I rewatched Hyouka from beginning to end a while ago. Even after ten years, it's still one of my favourite anime of all time. Fan translation of all six volumes of the novel series can be found on Baka-Tsuki. The afterwords are quite interesting. Yonezawa Honobu talked about where he got some of his inspirations from. I almost typed "A Wild Ship's Chase" in the subject line. How about "A Wild Sleep's Chase"? Sometimes, you find inspirations in the most unexpected places, and in this case, typos. I once read a summary line about a group of people being commanded by god to "seduce" the demons. It took a second read for me to realise it's "subdue", not "seduce". ( Read more... )

Ah, Given is pretty damn great if you like slow-burn romance (well, I do anyway), and the song that the band performed live in episode 9 is really good. I'm going to take a look at the manga once the anime adaptation finishes its run.
